Dermal Filler Q&A
Dermal Fillers are hyaluronic acid. They are a non-animal-base molecule that naturally exists in the human body. It should appear crystal clear in appearance and have a gel like consistency. Dermal fillers will come in different textures, density, and injection depths. Depending on the area being treated and your aesthetic goal, we will choose a dermal filler that is right for you. Dermal fillers rely heavily on its ability to attract water molecules to further plump up the skin. This provides the skin with more hydration and glow. Most fillers are pre-mixed with Lidocaine, an anesthetic agent, which helps to make the procedure more comfortable for you. If you have an allergy to Lidocaine, it is important to inform us so we can ensure we are using a Lidocaine-free dermal filler. What makes dermal filler with hyaluronic acid so popular with patients and practitioners is that it can be dissolved and it is a temporary procedure. Most dermal fillers only last 9-12 months.

Toxin Q&A
Neuromodulators are wrinkle-relaxing injections of botulinum toxin – commercially known as Botox Cosmetic, Dysport, Xeomin or Nuceiva – that are used to treat wrinkles, frown lines and crow’s feet. A small amount of the neuromodulator is injected directly into the underlying muscle, causing it to relax and gradually smooth out the appearance of the overlying skin. The effects typically last about three months. Botulinum toxin is produced by a specific type of bacteria. In higher amounts, it can be poisonous. However, only small, weaker doses of botulinum toxin are used to reduce facial wrinkles.
When botulinum toxin is injected, it blocks certain nerve signals that make muscles contract. The muscles relax, reducing unwanted wrinkles. This effect lasts about 3–6 months. After that, the muscles move again and wrinkles come back.

Injection lipolysis is based on the acceleration of fat breakdown by means of special substances (such as sodium deoxycholate, phosphatidylcholine, l; carnitine or caffeine or special peptides) or their mixtures. During the intralipotherapy treatment, they are injected directly into the adipose tissue. Intentional inflammation develops and soon afterwards triglycerides are hydrolyzed into fatty acids and glycerol, which are then removed from the body through the bloodstream.
Mesotherapy/ Fat dissolving injections
A procedure involving the introduction of a substance which reduces the amount of fat in the adipose tissue.
Injection lipolysis chemically reduces the number of fat cells around the injection site.
Reduction of the double chin
Reduction of thigh circumference (reduction of fat tissue on the thighs)
Waist reduction (reduction of fat on the abdomen and back)
Removing ‘love handles’
Removal of ‘pelicans’ (reduction of fatty tissue in the arms)
Modeling problem areas
removal of rollers of fat on the back and around the armpits
Removal of the fat roller below the bra underwires
Reduction or removal of cellulite (after using appropriate preparations)
After the treatment, you may experience soreness, burning or itching in the treated area. You should not resort to taking non-steroidal painkillers (containing e.g. ibuprofen) – their use is not recommended because by reducing inflammation we will significantly reduce the effect of injection lipolysis. Medicines containing paracetamol can be used if there is pain associated or not with the procedure.
Say goodbye to your double chin with Kybella - the non-surgical solution for a more defined jawline.
Kybella is a non-surgical injectable treatment that is specifically designed to reduce the appearance of submental fullness, commonly known as a "double chin." It contains a naturally occurring molecule called deoxycholic acid, which aids in the breakdown and absorption of dietary fat. When injected into the targeted area, Kybella permanently destroys fat cells, resulting in a more sculpted and defined jawline.

The PCDC mixture is injected in a grid like pattern in the area of concern where it disrupts the fat cell membrane. The fat cells absorb the PCDC and become slightly inflamed and burst , releasing their enzymes and fatty content. An inflammatory response begins, allowing the debris o be cleaned up by the macrophages that have migrated to the area. This inflammation response is responsible for some redness, soreness and hardness. New collagen is then deposited in the area, causing tissue retraction with denser and firmer skin. The fat and and cellular debris that are removed are collected as waste and excreted through the body's normal metabolic pathways.
Fat Dissolving Q&A
Are The Treatments Painful?
There may be some localized discomfort upon injecting such as a burning sensation that can lasts a few hours after injection. Swelling will occur in the treated areas, soreness and inflammation for several days after treatment. It is important to know that these inflammatory side effects produce a tighter and smoother overlying skin.
